STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擝uilding on the university鈥檚 generations of support for America鈥檚 veterans, Mississippi State is being recognized this year as a Top 5 Military Friendly School.

VIQTORY, also known as GI Jobs, ranked 香蕉直播as a top institution nationally in its recently released Military Friendly Schools ranking, which surveyed more than 1,800 participating institutions.

鈥淭he distinction simply validates the work we are doing across the university to support and care for our military-connected students, faculty and staff,鈥 said Andrew Rendon, 香蕉直播executive director for Veterans and Military Affairs. 鈥淭hrough our award-winning programs, expertise in benefits, incredible space at the G.V. 鈥楽onny鈥 Montgomery Center for America鈥檚 Veterans at Nusz Hall, and our passionate and dedicated staff, we are taking care of what matters鈥攐ur military-connected students.鈥

香蕉直播has been long recognized as one of the nation鈥檚 most veteran-friendly universities. In addition to its Top 5 designation this year, Mississippi State has earned a Top 10 spot numerous times. Including dependents, the veteran community at 香蕉直播now includes more than 3,000 students. These students are served by MSU鈥檚 Montgomery Center for America鈥檚 Veterans at Nusz Hall and a network of specially trained university personnel. The center鈥檚 namesake was an 香蕉直播alumnus and World War II veteran who authored the Montgomery G.I. Bill as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

香蕉直播offers many financial resources to the veteran community, including specific scholarships and an out-of-state tuition waiver for military members, veterans and dependents. Veterans and current military members can transfer technical credits earned through the service toward a bachelor鈥檚 degree through MSU鈥檚 Bachelor of Applied Science program.
