STARKVILLE, Miss.ā€”Mississippi Stateā€™s New Maroon Camp is hosting an evening ā€œfull of nostalgia and laughterā€ next week featuring Ļć½¶Ö±²„legends reminiscing about university traditions and history.

ā€œRocking Chairs 2025ā€ will be held at Lee Hallā€™s Bettersworth Auditorium, Wednesday [Feb. 26] at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to all but seats can be reserved by RSVP at .

Among multiple Bulldog ā€œlegendsā€ participating in a panel discussion are retired Ļć½¶Ö±²„Interim President and longtime Student Affairs administrator Roy Ruby; retired Associate Dean of Students Eddie Keith; former Student Association President Travis Clark; retired Ļć½¶Ö±²„Womenā€™s Basketball Coach Sharon Fanning; and current Ļć½¶Ö±²„Executive Director of Student-Athlete Development Ann Carr, among others. They will discuss the meaning behind New Maroon Camp and share many Ļć½¶Ö±²„stories and experiences. Current students, alumni and community members are invited.

The original Rocking Chairs event was held in 2015 with New Maroon Camp staff giving information and advice about Ļć½¶Ö±²„traditions and college life. Organizers decided to bring back the event and expand the speakers and audience.

Parking is available at Old Main Academic Center, 395 Hardy Road, and the parking lot adjacent to Lee Hall, 262 Lee Blvd.
