STARKVILLE, Miss.β€”Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯ (Starkville and Meridian campuses) will resume all in-person classes and activities on Tuesday, August 31. All Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯dining will return to normal operations on Tuesday morning as well.Β 

Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯is supporting students from areas impacted by Hurricane Ida and urging them to make safety their top priority – especially regarding travel decisions. Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯Dean of Students Thomas Bourgeois emphasized that the university works with students facing a sudden crisis and helps impacted students through difficult times.

β€œWhen a natural disaster like Hurricane Ida strikes, there will be a number of Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯students who have family members and homes impacted, which can lead to a variety of difficulties. Some of these students will need an extra helping hand, and we are here to help them,” Bourgeois added.

While Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯classes resume on Tuesday, faculty and instructors have been asked to provide academic accommodation to those students that live along the Gulf Coast and neighboring states who request it.
