Brief power outage anticipated for early Tuesday [July 27] morning
Associate Director for Utilities Dave Maharrey with Ï㽶ֱ²¥Facilities Management said Starkville Utilities has notified the university that there will be a 15- to 30-minute power outage on Tuesday [July 27].
Planned to occur during the timeframe of 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., this power outage is necessary for Starkville Utilities to relocate the feed to Ï㽶ֱ²¥from the current North Substation to the new South Substation.ÌýNormal utility power will be restored from the Starkville Utilities system before 7 a.m.
This outage will not affect the areas served by 4-County Power Association or Starkville Utilities connections, such as the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park; R.R. Foil Plant Science Research Center (North Farm); Softball and Tennis facilities; and H.H. Leveck Animal Research Center (South Farm).
