STARKVILLE, Miss.ā€”Mississippi StateĀ alumnus Saunders RamseyĀ isĀ the newĀ leader ofĀ theĀ MSUĀ Campus Services.Ā 

Ramsey has been named executive director ofĀ MSUĀ CampusĀ Services, whichĀ includesĀ oversight of planning, design, and construction of all major capital projects; maintenance, repair, and custodial services for over 100 university buildings; maintenance of more than 1,500 acres of campus landscape; as well as maintenance, repairs, and construction of MSUā€™s utilities distribution infrastructure.ĢżĢż

Under the restructuring ofĀ CampusĀ Services announced by Ļć½¶Ö±²„President Mark E. Keenum last fall, Ramsey reportsĀ to Associate Vice President of Administration Les Potts.Ā HeĀ comes to Ļć½¶Ö±²„from Neel-Schaffer, where he led the engineering, planning and construction management firmā€™s Starkville office.Ā 

ā€œWe are excited that Saunders has joined the MSUĀ team,ā€ said Vice President for Finance and Administration Don Zant.Ā ā€œSaundersā€™ enthusiasm, leadership and experience will serve bothĀ himĀ and Ļć½¶Ö±²„well in this very important position.Ā He is well known and respected on campus, in the community and in the construction industry. With the team we now have in place, I look forward to seeing what we can doĀ toĀ bring the living learning community at Ļć½¶Ö±²„to even greater heights.ā€Ā 

At Neel-Schaffer, Ramsey worked closely with leaders in government, economic development and educationĀ on strategic projects aimed at improving quality of life in area communities.Ā A Starkville native and former captain of the Ļć½¶Ö±²„baseball team, RamseyĀ earned a bachelorā€™s degree in civil engineering from Ļć½¶Ö±²„in 2005. In 2009, he received his masterā€™s degree in civil engineering from the University of Memphis.ĢżĢż
