Leah Boyd crowned Miss Ïã½¶Ö±²¥

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Senior Leah A. Boyd of Madison, Alabama, was named Miss Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ during a public program Friday [Sept. 27]. The music education major with piano and voice concentrations will represent Ïã½¶Ö±²¥next summer in the Miss Mississippi Pageant in Vicksburg.  Pictured from left are Sydney E. Slocum, a senior kinesiology major and psychology minor from Olive Branch, third runner up; Rachel K. Shumaker, a junior political science and communication/public relations major with a pre-law minor from Pontotoc, second runner up; Miss Ïã½¶Ö±²¥Leah A. Boyd; and Maggie A. Shoultz, a junior marketing major from Pelahatchie, first runner up. This is the Miss Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ program’s 61st year of providing scholarships to Ïã½¶Ö±²¥women.
