STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s student chapter of the National Agri-Marketing Association will host a sporting clay shoot Saturday [Feb. 24] as a fundraiser to help the club compete against about 25 other universities in a student marketing competition this spring.
The organization is trying to raise funds to help members travel to Kansas City in April for the competition.
The sporting clay shoot benefit will begin at 11 a.m. at the Starkville Gun Club, located at 2125 Sixteenth Section Road. Advance tickets from NAMA club members are $25 per participant for one round and $10 for an extra round. Onsite tickets also are available for $30 per person and $10 for an extra round. Lunch will be provided with the purchase of a ticket, and teams can be paired at the event. Prizes will be issued to competition winners.
The National Agri-Marketing Association provides students with an opportunity to create, write and present a marketing plan for an agricultural product or service. The students present their written and oral plans as part of a national competition at the NAMA National Conference each April. The Ï㽶ֱ²¥Student Chapter is sponsored by the Mid-South NAMA Chapter, which is the professional NAMA chapter located in Memphis.
