STARKVILLE, Miss.ā€”Stephen Foshee of Starkville begins a new position this month with the Ļć½¶Ö±²„ Foundation as assistant athletic director for development.

In his new role, Foshee will serve as a liaison between the Bulldog Club and the Ļć½¶Ö±²„Foundation as he works to secure major gifts for both organizations on behalf of Ļć½¶Ö±²„. He replaces Michelle McBride, who is now at the University of Pittsburgh.Ā

Foshee joins the Ļć½¶Ö±²„Foundation from the universityā€™s Bulldog Club, where he has served in athletic fundraising since 2008. He began his work with Ļć½¶Ö±²„as a graduate assistant, and he then became development coordinator. Since mid-2015, he has been assistant director.

ā€œWe welcome Stephen as a member of the Ļć½¶Ö±²„Foundation team and believe the move will be a seamless transition for him because of his previous experience in fundraising at Mississippi State,ā€ said Jack McCarty, the universityā€™s executive director of development. ā€œStephenā€™s knowledge will be a great asset for our organization and for alumni and friends of the institution, some of whom may have already formed strong connections with him.ā€

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Foshee is a graduate of Mississippi State, earning an MBA and a masterā€™s in sports administration, both in 2011. He earlier earned a bachelorā€™s degree in communications in 2006 from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.

ā€œIn my time with Mississippi State, Iā€™ve developed great pride in the association between the Ļć½¶Ö±²„Foundation and the Bulldog Club, and I am excited to become more involved with major gift fundraising at the university,ā€ said Foshee.

Fosheeā€™s resume also includes intern experience with both the Boston Red Sox and the Green Bay Packers organizations.

Fosheeā€™s office is located in the Bryan Athletic Administration Building, and he can be reached at (662) 325-0965 or sfoshee@foundation.msstate.edu.
