STARKVILLE, Miss.āStephen Foshee of Starkville begins a new position this month with the Ļć½¶Ö±²„ Foundation as assistant athletic director for development.
In his new role, Foshee will serve as a liaison between the Bulldog Club and the Ļć½¶Ö±²„Foundation as he works to secure major gifts for both organizations on behalf of Ļć½¶Ö±²„. He replaces Michelle McBride, who is now at the University of Pittsburgh.Ā
Foshee joins the Ļć½¶Ö±²„Foundation from the universityās Bulldog Club, where he has served in athletic fundraising since 2008. He began his work with Ļć½¶Ö±²„as a graduate assistant, and he then became development coordinator. Since mid-2015, he has been assistant director.
āWe welcome Stephen as a member of the Ļć½¶Ö±²„Foundation team and believe the move will be a seamless transition for him because of his previous experience in fundraising at Mississippi State,ā said Jack McCarty, the universityās executive director of development. āStephenās knowledge will be a great asset for our organization and for alumni and friends of the institution, some of whom may have already formed strong connections with him.ā
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Foshee is a graduate of Mississippi State, earning an MBA and a masterās in sports administration, both in 2011. He earlier earned a bachelorās degree in communications in 2006 from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
āIn my time with Mississippi State, Iāve developed great pride in the association between the Ļć½¶Ö±²„Foundation and the Bulldog Club, and I am excited to become more involved with major gift fundraising at the university,ā said Foshee.
Fosheeās resume also includes intern experience with both the Boston Red Sox and the Green Bay Packers organizations.
