Undergraduate Research Symposium set for July 30

Join us for the summer 2015 Undergraduate Research Symposium hosted by the Shackouls Honors College. The symposium will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, in Griffis Hall (3rd floor lobby and 4th floor Forum Room). The event is an opportunity to showcase faculty-guided student research efforts from diverse departments, colleges and research centers across campus. All undergraduates involved in faculty-guided research this academic year are invited and encouraged to participate in the symposium either through a poster presentation, short talk or performance. Students do not have to be affiliated with the honors program. After the poster and talk sessions, an award ceremony with the presentation of prizes in the Griffis Hall Forum Room will be held. Refreshments will be provided. Guidelines for posters are found below. Note that if a poster session is given, students must provide their own poster board for display. The talks and performances will be given 10 minutes for presentation and five minutes for questions. Note that if you are giving a talk or performance and need technology such as a computer or projector, check that box on the registration form. There is no fee to participate. Entry deadline is July 10. Entry forms can be found at . More details of the event, how to participate and plan, along with poster guidelines can be found at .
